Kristine Shira, MBA '99

Kristine is a Vice President, People at Optum. She is responsible for the people strategy within a suite of Optum Health businesses focusing on ambulatory care, behavioral health, home health & hospice, and valued based care products. 

Kristine joined Optum through acquisition of Davita Medical Group in 2019 where she held senior HR positions. Prior to Optum, Kristine has worked in various industries throughout her HR career and as a Consultant with Deloitte in their Human Capital practice, both in the US and Switzerland.  Kristine has 25+ years of HR leadership and advisory experience in a variety of disciplines including mergers & acquisitions, Organization Design, HR & business transformation, Change Enablement, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, HR Data & Analytics, and Shared Service Operations.

Kristine attained a M.B.A. from the University of Indiana and a B.A. from Lehigh University.
