Ms. Rich is the Founder and CEO of the Global Good Fund, a global nonprofit organization that pairs experienced business executives with emerging young social entrepreneurs. The Global Good Fund’s cumulative impact since its founding in 2013 includes 3,000 permanent jobs created in underserved communities, 200 entrepreneurs served in 40 countries, over 50,000 global community members, $150M raised by entrepreneurs, and nearly 10M lives positively impacted. 

In 2017 Ms. Rich launched the Global Impact Fund, a venture capital fund that invests in socially impactful businesses. Eighty percent of the portfolio companies are led by black, brown and women founders. Now on its second iteration, Global Impact Fund II continues to scale impact while creating wealth for a new league of investors – half of the Global Impact Fund II investor base is black, brown and women.

Ms. Rich serves on the Board of Directors of Trinity Health System and the Atlas Health Foundation, as well as the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Health at Lehigh University. During Ms. Rich’s time as a student at Lehigh University, where she earned a BS in Science, Technology & Society, she penned a letter to the then-President of the university, making the case for a health-focused interdisciplinary program, which contributed to the creation of the Health, Medicine, and Society program, now one of the most popular majors at the University. 

Ms. Rich attended Georgetown University for her Masters in Health Systems Administration and obtained a certificate in Healthcare Quality from Harvard University. She is the author of four books, including Impacting the World: Live Your Values and Drive Change as a Citizen Statesperson, which became a Wall Street Journal bestseller, Health Entrepreneurship: A Practical Guide, and two editions of Sustainability for Healthcare Management: A Leadership Imperative, which became a top 5 business book in Handelsblatt (Germany). Ms. Rich taught nursing students at Georgetown University and George Washington University, and currently teaches “Fundraising for Social Impact” to a global audience at the Amani Institute. Ms. Rich is the recipient of the Maryland Daily Record Most Admired CEO award, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award, and the POLITICO Women Who Rule award.

Ms. Rich lives with her husband and three young children in Maryland where they enjoy spending time together as a family in the countryside.
