Jeff Burbank '86

Jeff Burbank was chief executive officer and a director of NxStage Medical since he founded the company in 1998. Jeff led NxStage from its inception, guiding it through all of its developmental phases to the successful initiation and rapid growth of commercial activities, its initial public offering, the acquisition of Medisystems Corporation, the evolution of the product line, its entry into dialysis services, and annual revenue over ½ billion dollars. He retired after the multi Billion dollar sale and integration of NxStage to Fresenius Medical Care. He has more than thirty five years of in-depth management experience in the medical industry including products, services, and full risk capitation of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients. Prior to founding NxStage, Jeff co-founded Vasca, Inc., a company providing innovative implantable access devices, where he was chief executive officer, as well as chairman of its board of directors. During his career, Jeff has been an inventor on more than fifty US patents for medical devices. He is a strategic operator that brings entrepreneurial skill, leadership, and technical experience to the board.
